I knew I was listening to some new kind of teen logic when he came home with this story...

K - So you have to see the Craft Motorcycle (flashing his phone in front of me), I HAVE TO get it, it will save me lots of money on gas to work and to college (when I go)  and it's only $80 a month.

Me - Sure go ahead, (I learned a long time ago to never say no, it just starts a rebellion)
K - All you have to do is co-sign the loan.
Me - Do you know what that means?
K - Yeah, you just ok for them to give me the money
Me - No, I have to cover the payments when you decide you can't pay, If you want a motorcycle you need to save up the money and buy it cash.
K - But this is cash, I'm giving them $80 cash every month.
Me - That's called credit, you will eventually pay more...  if you can pay $80 a month you can save $80 a month and get the motorcycle when you have all the money.
K - but I want it now! It is the same thing, both are cash!

Yikes...
