Is your homework done?

Homework, it's a bad word in our house, like the one that must not be named. Especially on Sunday night, four weeks before end of school. But I did my best to speak teen and bring up that evil word only to be foiled by the true definition of the word "done". 

M - Are you done?
K - With what?
M - Your stuff for school tomorrow?
K - Yeah it's done
M - Your spanish flash cards?
K - Almost 
M - Biology chapter review?
K - I can do it in tutorial tomorrow
M - The english project? can I see it?
K - No, not that. Why do I have to do it now?
M - Why did you say you were done with all your stuff for tomorrow? 
K - I was done... 
Definition of Done - "Cooked all the way through" or "no longer happening or existing"

Next time I ask more directly if  HOMEWORK is FINISHED... ​
